We used to cook and serve our shrimp with the shell on to lock in all the flavors meant to be eaten with the shell, tail, and all. Based on our latest surveys, your votes, and your reviews, a majority of people would like to try us with the shell-off.
We’re excited to announce they you can now order our Garlic Butter Shrimp Plate or Boat with SHELL-OFF TAIL-ON extra jumbo shrimp! We’ve been recipe testing and tasting to make sure this shell-off version is still a flavor explosion. Spoiler alert: It is 💥
We still have a light batter to keep the shrimp crispy. So far our testing phase has been really well-received with customers letting us know it’s easier to eat, faster and more efficient for a quick meal, less messy, more kid-friendly, and still crispy doused in our garlic butter sauce. I recently checked out LA’s newest food lover’s destination - Topanga Social (eatplaytopangasocial). They’ve brought together 27 of the most talked about eateries, bars, and recognized names in LA’s culinary space, all under one roof at Westfield Topanga (westfieldtopanga) in the San Fernando Valley. LA is one of the most diverse food capitals in the world, and Topanga Social is here to give you different cuisines all in one place. I saw some of my favorite locations here, as well as some new ones (I’ll list the places I tried below). If you’re already in the Valley, this is an absolute must and great spot to try multiple places. But, I wouldn’t make the trip out just for this. While it’s fun to try the food from these iconic locations, I prefer visiting their brick and mortor locations. If you’ve been, what did think? What did you get to eat?
I want to give a shoutout to Michelle (la.dreaming) for inviting me out to the Valley to co-host a meet-up. I probably wouldn’t have gone otherwise, and I’m really glad I did.
